YAY!! He's sleeping!!!

First off, I'm terrible at updating this (as Heather loves to remind me about!)...add to that, I lost the memory stick for the camera since almost two weeks ago- it ended up being in the sofa cushion! I send daily pictures of him from my phone to Facebook (I haven't figured out how to send them here...it says you can but for some reason it won't work) so here is the link for that in case you want to look at some of them :)

Also, thank you so much to everyone for voting for him!! He didn't win the round...but, he is still the cutest baby...ever! hehe

So for the title of the post...Nicholas slept through the night last night for the first time!!! YAY!!! I woke up this morning and could have screamed I was so happy! He slept from 11:30pm to 5:30am!! Wooohooo :) He is sleeping in his swing right now, so the next step is to transition him into the crib. We'll probably do that within the next couple of weeks- or attempt to anyways!

Other than that, not much has changed. He is smiling a lot now and cooing more...it is fun to start seeing a personality! Seems like time is flying by though- can't believe he is almost 3 months old already!

These first couple of pictures are from the park a couple of weeks ago- I just haven't posted them yet. We had fun- except Nicholas does not like the sun in his eyes at all!

Vote for Me!!

I don't really have an update. Just a request and some new pictures. Only thing that happened this week was Nicholas got his 2 month shots. He took them like a champ. He screamed for about 10 seconds and whimpered for about a minute and was fine after that. He did have a little welt on his leg for a couple days, but it is gone now.

My request....they are doing a "Baby Idol" at the radio station I listen to. They had so many entries that they are doing voting in 2 day segments...I'm not sure which day Nicholas will come up...but when he does, he'll be up there for 2 days and each computer can vote once per day (so you could vote twice if you do it each day)....I'd love it if you voted for him! Finally

So I'm finally getting around to updating this again. I've taken some time off! Well, ok, so not really....

My day starts every morning at 5:30, off to day care/work at 6:30, leave work at 4, get home at 4:45, wash all the feeding stuff, get everything turned around for the next day, make dinner, eat, clean up, take a shower, give Nicholas a bath, and then it is time to sit down and relax. Oh, and feeding in there too. Wouldn't change it for the world...but it does leave very little time for other things!

Anyway, enough about me! Nicholas is doing great. He had his 2 month appointment on Wednesday. Yeah, 2 months! Time is flying!!! It is sad to see him growing up so quickly, but it is also fun because each new day brings something different. He weighed in at 12 pounds 13 ounces which is in the 71 percentile (7lb 4oz at birth). His length was 22 3/4 inches (18.5 at birth). The pediatrician was really happy with his development too. He is holding his head up extremely well- especially since he hates tummy time!

He was a little bit under the weather this past week. He wasn't keeping much down for about a day and a half. Doctor said it was a viral infection. He is completely over it now, but he didn't have his shots at his appointment since we wouldn't know if he was having a reaction to them or if it was the infection. So, we go back on Wednesday for the dreaded shots!

His babysitter (Miss Jeana) really loves him. I was worried at first since he is very needy (doesn't like to sit around by himself, eats every 2 hours) but she is great with him. I think he knows when he is over there and when he is at home, because she says he never cries in the swing or bouncy chair...if only he did that here a lot more would get done! haha Plus the other kids there love him...so he gets lots of attention from them too!

Night Time!

Wow...getting into a routine is much harder than I thought! When I get home from work, all I want to do is cuddle with my little man...so his blog has taken a little bit of a hit ;)

He had an Upper GI test done at the hospital on Thursday. He couldn't eat for 4 hrs before the test and then it took 4 hours there- so the poor guy went 8 hours without eating!!! The only thing the test showed was that he has reflux- which we already knew...so we are to continue the medication we are on. His pediatrician also suggested that we feed him less, but more often- yeah, right! He already eats every 2 hours...I don't think I'm going to feed him more often than that! Especially when he is at daycare- she does have more kids than just Nicholas :) At least it is nothing serious.

I found out tonight during his bath that he likes to drink bath water! He turned his head to the side and put half his head under and just started gulping the water! Then he cried when I pulled him up....as soon as I put him back he stopped and drank a little more! Little stinker ;)

The first few weeks he loved to be swaddled....here he is right after his bath, swaddled in the towel.

First off...I want to apologize for not getting thank you cards out yet. To say the least I've been a little overwhelmed...but I promise they will be in the mail soon ;)

I'm back at work now...which means Nicholas is at day care. Our day care lady says he is doing great there- which is nice to hear! The first day at work was a little overwhelming for me leaving him but today was much better! It is nice to get back to reality and hopefully soon we'll get into some kind of routine.

Other than that, the two of us have been taking lots of walks when the weather is nice. He usually just falls asleep...except when the sun hits his eyes- he hates that!

My gas smile caught on camera!

I finally got his gas smile on camera!! I know it isn't a real smile yet...but it is still so dang cute :)

The thrush is cleared...yay!! And, he is up to 11 pounds 6 ounces today! Holy cow!! He is a growing little boy! Doc is very happy with his growth though...so that is good. Other than that we just enjoyed the day together! He has been a very good boy today. We also took a bath together tonight. We've been doing that for the past week or so...he LOVES his baths! The only time he cries is when I'm taking him out!

His gas smiles are usually right when he falls asleep...so sorry Grandma J...I can't get a smile picture with the eyes open yet! haha

Again, not much to update. Grandma Val leaves tomorrow to go back to Florida. We've definitely enjoyed having her here and it'll be sad to see her go!

More tummy time. He is starting to get better at lifting his head up...but he gets so frustrated after about a minute or so and starts screaming! Eventually he ends up wearing himself out and falling asleep...that's when tummy time is over since it defeats the purpose!
